It's really hard not to care when you're in UP~ the university of honor and excellence where everyone is constantly vigilant and active in all issues of Philippine society, and where freedom is guarded at all times.

This proposed budget cut is utterly unacceptable. Higher education is by no means a futile pursuit for the government; the youth must be nurtured and given ample opportunities because they are the future. In other words, in my opinion, the youth is the best investment and quality education is the best fertilizer.

Quality education for all.

Christmas Concerts 2010

I just love Christmas. Everyone is kinder and more generous, and all the more happier. It's when families come together and celebrate under one roof, and all amazing family dishes are feasted upon. Lights are everywhere, and you just know that there's an air of merriment and love all around.

Love Actually. Photo taken here.

Christmas music is festive and quite addictive sometimes, so conceirtos featuring these are big highlights of the season in my opinion. Orchestras and chorales performing these tunes are a marvel, and I try to see as many of these that I can.

Since it's most convenient for me, my suki is the UP College of Music. Their December calendar is filled with exemplary performances, usually for minimal fees. Another great venue for concerts like these is the Cultural Center of the Philippines

Enjoy! :)

Drama Fix

Comedies are always a treat, but recently I've been craving for some drama. I've started to watch Grey's Anatomy again, but it's a bit mellow nowadays. I searched through my downloads (yes I sometimes download on whim, my defense is that I base it on good recommendations) and I took a shot at The Good Wife. After a couple of sleepless nights, I am now up to date with the current season. Yaaaaay :)

It's really good.

Of course I'm rooting for Alicia and Will.

For my favorite character, it was hard to decide between Kalinda and Eli Gold.
I go for Eli, so kick ass.

Cebu 2010 Part 1

Jamie and I have been planning to go on a trip after graduation for a loooong time. Recently, plans got more serious especially with the addition of Nins, Jomax and Rainier into the trip. After so much research and drama, we finally got to go on a very much anticipated vacation!

We availed of PAL's seat sale a couple of months ago to go to the Queen City of the South. And thanks to a couple of helpful travel blogs, we planned how we were going to go about Cebu; explore the historic Cebu City and then bum around Bantayan Island in its pristine beaches. For this entry, I'll be introducing the fabulous people I got lost in Cebu with, because chronicling the trip is too lengthy and I'm too tired to do it right now. Hehe

I have the best grandparents in the world. I know, everyone would like to think so, but I really do mean it.

I love you Lola, Lolo, Mama and Papa (wherever you are)! Thank you for knowing exactly how I feel, preparing what I love to eat and being always right behind me. I know I'll fall short in making up to you, but I'll try. :)
