Below is the 2011 Comic Con trailer. It basically sums up what happened this first season, and if you don't want to be spoiled do not watch it. I just can't help posting it because I am in such a withdrawal, the second season is not until next year. Ugh.
Also, I'm back to watching True Blood this season. I just googled how seasons 2 and 3 went. Hehe.

I've been bumming around, watching series here and there. I've finished two kdramas, and now halfway through another. That is, apart from the other shows I've been watching like Bones. And maybe because I've too much time in my hands or I've watched too much Castle, when I watch these shows I map out the possible future scenarios. Yep, kinda like spoiling myself. I actually find that if the ending is outside the range of my possibilities, the better.
This is why I absolutely love The Good Wife. It's not a crime or love drama like most shows I watch, though it does hover on these themes. The best classification I can think of is drama in general, because the law practice part is secondary in my opinion. Come to think of it, I've never tried to map out how this show would twist and turn. Maybe because it's not a crime series where you try to solve the case yourself. At the same time, it's over and beyond the usual dramas that have these ridiculous turn of events. It's like reading a memoir, the events seem so natural. But what makes it great is how they write these simple and ordinary events into big dramatic scenes that are so damn brilliant and witty.
At this point, I'm anxiously waiting for the season finale that's airing next week.
And oh, I'm also watching IRIS. It's a really superb kdrama. It's just as beautifully made as The Good Wife but in a different genre to say the least. Will rave about that after I finish it. :)

And for some reason I remembered the Single Ladies episode but can't seem to find a good video, so here's the original.
Among the classic English romance novels written before the twentieth century, Jane Eyre is my favorite to date, though I haven't read much. I adore Pride and Prejudice as much as the average girl but I feel like Jane Eyre is so much bigger and grander, I can't find an exact word for it.
I have been looking forward to this movie since I saw the gripping trailer last year. It appears to play on the gothic flavor of the novel, which is a good thing in my opinion. I haven't seen any of the earlier adaptations, but I bet only a small fraction if any were made in a dark tone such as this. It could also spark interest in those who haven't read the novel or do not fancy period movies.
Often, book to movie adaptations are horrible but I'm pretty positive Jane Eyre would be among the few exceptions (I trust RT). Below is one of the released clips from the movie, and as far as I can recall the book does not set up a kilig moment like this. Lovesit.
I'm not sure if I posted the trailer before, but I'm too lazy to check so I'll just post it. There are some spoilersextra clips here. Of course all official media can be found in the official website.
The casting choices are impeccable so I am even more excited to see this on the big screen. I'm still googling when it will be released in Philippine cinemas because I read that the March release is limited. :|

In other movie news, I just found out that the Swedish adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will be coming soon here in the Philippines. Yay!
This is actually a long running joke at NIP, where the version's like "Gagawin ko ang lahat wag lang ang thesis mo." Just came into my mind while stuck in my math, deriving something I should've finished a long time ago. *sigh*

I just found out the existence of AdeleVEVO but only a couple of her vids are available for viewing. Bleh.
But never fear, you can catch Adele's newest (or older) tunes particularly Rolling in the Deep in some channels/ users.
You can see I've lots of tabs open, most are about Bragg gratings and all that optics hullaballoo. But at almost 4am I'm barely halfway through my slides still. Tapos ayaw pa ako panoorin ng AdeleVEVO ng Chasing Pavements. Naku.

UPDATE: Apparently Star Sports and ESPN HD has coverage. Last year, Star Sports didn't have AO coverage as far as I recall so I only watched in BallsTV.
While downloading the latest album of The Rescues, I was googling reviews. One blogger thought it was good and also suggested other similar artists. I got curious and looked up one of the artists, Ingrid Michaelson, because I saw her in my Who to Follow list a couple of times.
So glad I did. Currently LSS to The Way I am, alternating with New Radical's You Get What You Give because of that Star World ad and Bea's own LSS.
Today I realized Christmas indeed is just around the corner. We went shopping at SM Department Store earlier, and the whole mall echoed Christmas songs. As in. Plus we stayed near the trees and decor at Home World while waiting for Lola and Mamie so the image of Christmas is quite vivid now.
I love Christmas, and I don't think we Filipinos celebrate it like anyone else. For one, we have Christmas for around four months and I don't know any other country who has Christmas that long. Tia tells me our tree this year will be something like Paskong Pinoy. I want to hoist up the tree this instant. Mwahaha. But I can't do that so I'll just hunt for some new Christmas albums. :D
I submitted several questions for PDI's First Edition last summer. I was hoping the one that got me my tickets is the one asking the candidates what they would do to stop the brain drain in our country. None of my questions were asked and this has nothing to do with Winnie Monsod's last lecture except to me, I know. But somehow after seeing this clip I remembered that incident and I felt good, knowing that somebody whom everybody listens to is like voicing what I have in my head. :p
Roger Federer is the best. He plays ever so gracefully, hardly gets injured, and speaks a handful of languages. But of course, there's no point in being too good when there's no one to challenge you. I guess that's why I like Rafa, because he can really stand up against Roger. Well, at least that's how I came to like Rafa at first. Now I know he will be written down as one of the best players ever, and not just the King of Clay. He's the simple, family-oriented guy from Spain who actually happens to be a marvelous sportsman.

This weekend has been fun! My super buddies Jamie, Ninya, Jomax and I had a movie marathon last Friday. I attended the KaSCIyahan cheerdance competition as well as Truce yesterday, it's the awarding ceremony slash party of KaSCIyahan where NIP was the overall third best institute. And today, my batchmates and I had our graduation pictures taken. And of course, UP Pep Squad bagged the championship crown earlier in the UAAP Cheerdance Competition! Woohoooooo!

When I was playing with Tia's 2nd Gen iPod classic a few years ago, I was hunting for familiar artists to listen to. I did find some, but one time I was risky enough to try something else. I gave U2 a shot. Back then, I knew the band U2 existed but I didn't know any of their songs, or their music in general.
Now I do. And ever since I heard them for the first time, One has been a hit. With Mary J. Blige, even better. :)
I don't know. I'll blame it on the Korean coffee I had a while back. Haha. This is a most unfortunate time to not be able so sleep because I'll be at our org recognition later, then I'll present my seminar in my subgroup's parallel, plus I have an exam tomorrow. I feel tired, but I guess my mind is still active. I tried to review for 161 but I can't focus enough. Hahaha
Allow me to prattle around. I just linked my GMail account to my YouTube account recently, I was reminded of the things I saw when I made the account: Princess Hours and Grey's Anatomy.
Here's my favorite Goong episode. Yuhuh, episode 16 FTW.
As for Grey's Anatomy, I loved the second season. Everything went kinda downhill from there and I didn't watch it religiously after that. But even after a few years, Chasing Cars still reminds me of Grey's Anatomy.
I guess that's another purpose (perk?) of having a blog, so that after ten years I'll be able to look back on how I thought and what I did.
I am downright in love with The Script right now. I have Breakeven in almost all of my playlists. It's a song about heartbreak, though that's not really something you want to be the first song you think of. But come to think of it, almost all songs are love songs and a major chunk of those are of heartbreak. I'm not heartbroken but Breakeven, just as Chasing Pavements, resonates so much emotion and the melody is just so addictive. Plus, it's not really a crime that their lead singer looks a bit like Iker. Hehehe
I'd love to sing this or some really nice song for English 11, but I'm no singer. For that, kailangan ko na pala magisip ng madaling kantahin.
